Training & Standardization
Process standards = consistent results
Standardization entails the establishment of consistent procedures, materials, and metrics, ensuring uniformity across all activities. At Donley’s we’ve taken great measures to standardize our business and continuously seek improvement.
One of the most significant advantages of having well-defined standards is the ability to consistently train employees. Our training program ensures each employee can drive consistent results for our clients, regardless of their experience, tenure, or location.
A culture of training and collaboration
The cornerstone of Donley’s training program is in-person summits that take place multiple times per year. Our employees travel to one office for a two-day training, three times per year. These meetings drive consistent training efforts, create a cohesive culture, and provide fellowship amongst our employees. A snapshot of a few topics we regularly train on:
- Safety: Drop Zone Plan
- Quality: Tolerance conflicts amongst other trades
- Project Planning and Execution: First Run Studies
- Technical: Troubleshooting place and finish issues
- Soft Skills: Dale Carnegie “How to Win Friends and Influence People”
- Jobsite Walks: Applying lessons learned on live projects
Scalability
Another key benefit of standardization is scalability. This scalability ensures that new employees are onboarded effectively, and existing employees continue to receive relevant training as the organization evolves. By standardizing our business and having a training program in place, Donley’s is positioned to grow – following our clients and meeting their needs wherever they go.
Fostering a cohesive culture
Standardization and training foster a cohesive Donley’s culture, which strengthens teamwork, collaboration, and a sense of belonging, creating a positive work environment. Additionally, it ensures we deliver on our values – People, Safety, Solutions, Performance – to every client on every project.
